Don't Brick Out! completed its first playable paddle-ball-meter foundation sprint with traceable Neon Boardwalk records, structured starter content, and deterministic Unity runtime code.

Don't Brick Out! completed its first playable paddle-ball-meter foundation sprint.

The sprint turned the neon brick-breaker redesign package into traceable production material: Neon Boardwalk starter boards, lower-zone paddle drag, docked ball launch, readable Basic/Reinforced/Prize bricks, first drops, combo scoring, Breakout Meter fill, player-triggered Breaker Shot, safe fail/retry rhythm, and result review boundaries.

The VeritySpec records now cover lower-zone paddle control, docked launch, readable brick collision, combo and meter fill, full-meter Breaker Shot spend, safe life loss, no live-control commercial interruption, mastery that is not random-drop dependent, and separated scores after a continue.

Structured content now has stable IDs, localization keys, source references, unlock paths, economy posture, and QA expectations for the first world, five starter boards, core controls, meter action, starter bricks, starter power-ups, objective/failure/result/reward items, and accessibility assists.

On the Unity side, the deterministic runtime model represents board definitions, launch state, lives, active balls, brick damage and breaks, combo-tier scoring, meter fill, Breaker Shot spend, power-up catch rules, continue separation, accessibility mode validity, commercial-surface gating, and leaderboard validity.

This is still before full scene implementation. The next Don't Brick Out! step is to configure Unity EditMode coverage, build the first portrait gameplay greybox, wire paddle/ball/brick visual feedback, and use headless Unity plus the available Android device path once the slice has meaningful live control to validate.
