Boutborough: Beasts of the Ring Playable Bout Foundation Sprint 01
Boutborough: Beasts of the Ring completed its first playable-bout sprint with traceable Jax tutorial records, content data, and deterministic Unity runtime code.
Boutborough: Beasts of the Ring completed its first playable-bout foundation sprint.
The sprint turned the redesign package's opening combat promise into a traceable first-session foundation: Coach Pip Padpaw, Jax Jackrabbit, Old Bell Gym, left and right Skip-Step tells, high guard, slip left, slip right, starter resources, Copper Starter Gloves, and the first reward all move together through VeritySpec records, structured content, runtime code, tests, and evidence.
The VeritySpec records cover readable tell resolution, defense-to-counter windows, Heat and Focus seeds, Loss Clinic feedback, deterministic starter rewards, campaign-valid simplified controls, timing assist, localization-ready content, and no combat ads or paid advantage.
Structured content now has localization keys, source references, unlock paths, economy posture, and QA expectations for the coach, rival, arena, moves, defenses, resources, reward, starter gear, and Loss Clinic tip.
On the Unity side, the deterministic runtime model represents Jax's left and right tutorial moves, expected defenses, stamina costs, timing-assist window expansion, hit/block/defense/perfect-defense outcomes, counter windows, reward claiming, and forced or rewarded ad gating.
This still sits before scene implementation. The next Boutborough step is to build the Fight HUD prototype, add EditMode coverage once the Unity test runner is configured, and use headless Unity plus the available Android A16 device for real-device input and build-smoke validation when the game has something meaningful to run.
